"IT’S NOT JUST A KICK, IT IS A JEET KUNE DO KICK" |
 |
A Jeet Kune Do kick is compared to a fully loaded spring. The power that is released from the kick, not only will sweep the target off, but the impact of the kick is felt inside first, then the pain is felt outside moments after delivery. Its like a bee bite, you only feel the sting first then the swelling occurs. The speed, which is been generated by hip rotation, body alignment, and pivoting, will trigger the leg turning it into weapon.
The combination of all three will create a massive force that will knock down anything in its way.
When you kick, just kick. When you punch, just punch. Don’t hold anything back, just do it. To be very honest with you, I might look like I am very flexible, but I am not. Nor is it trick photography. To reach maximum heights, you must lean back as far as you can go and rotate the hips and the rear heel. That way you are using the full length of the leg. If you keep your body in an upward position then you are forcing your leg to kick at a body level. If you lean back as far as you can when your kicking, the leg is only doing half of the work and you will achieve full height.

JKD ADVANCED HOOK KICK |
 |
The advanced hook kick is mainly used to take out a front knee of an orthodox fighter. By striking the left front knee, at a downward 45-degree angle, the whole body will fall forward in one strike. This advanced hook kick must be applied at this angle and with a slight drop of weight of the rear leg to get the proper results. The kick should be executed with speed, snap, and hip rotation. Also, a slight step forward or to the side with the rear foot is needed to generate the proper power. This advanced hook kick should be delivered as if you were axing down a tree. A typical roundhouse kick is executed at a horizontal angle, which would force the leg to lift instead of collapsing from under the opponent. |
Burning Foot Side Kick |
 |
Step slide sidekick ,the most DEVASTATING KICK in JKD
The Burning Foot Sidekick should be executed left and right lead at high speed. This kick is very scientific. You must rotate the hip and the rear foot as you lock the rear knee in a straight-up position, and fully extend the front foot. In addition, the heel of the rear foot should face the opponent, and the toes should be perpendicular with the chest as you lean back. It should be practiced repeatedly to achieve full results, so when you want it to close the gap between you and your opponent, it takes out anything in its way. |
